Helping the Families of Fallen Officers

Helping the Families of Fallen Officers

17th-Annual-smfNEP was pleased to be a part of the 17th Annual 'Survivor's Memorial Fund' Golf Tournament held on June 24th at the Old Ranch Country Club in Seal Beach, California.  The Survivor's Memorial Fund Golf Committee is dedicated to presenting a memorable and exciting day of golf while raising the necessary funds to help the families of fallen officers. There was a great turn out for this year's tournament with 148 golfers participating. The players began their morning with an appetizing breakfast prior to the start of the tournament, and then were treated to a great lunch and dinner.

This year's tournament honored those officers who made the ultimate sacrifice in 2012. The officers honored were

  • Agent Jared Francom, Ogden Utah Police Department, EOW 1/5/12
  • Deputy Sheriff Robert Paris, Stanislaus County Sheriff's Department EOW 4/12/12
  • Officer Kenyon Youngstrom, California Highway Patrol, EOW 9/5/12
  • Chief Petty Officer Terrell Horne III, United States Coast Guard, EOW 12/2/12

A touching video tribute to the fallen officers was shown during the banquet, and plaques were made in honor of the sacrifice each of these officers made. NEP was extremely humbled and honored to be part of the tribute to those fallen officers.
